What does COVID-19 imply for the functioning of the Summa organization
It is beyond any doubt many organizations will feel a certain impact from the Coronavirus on their daily business functioning. However, Summa tries to do everything to ensure the impact remains minimal. Until further notice, the Summa offices in Gistel will remain open.
Summa is following the measures taken by the federal government to limit the spread of the coronavirus COVID-19, and is therefore putting the following into practice to protect our staff, partners and customers:
Access to the building
All visits to our company are cancelled and external people will no longer be allowed in the building except carriers for delivering and collecting goods at our warehouse.
- At our warehouse, onsite instructions will be communicated to the carriers to guarantee their and our employees’ safety and health during loading and unloading.
- Meetings with external people (representatives, applicants, ...) can be hosted with Skype sessions, but no longer in the building.
- In case a meeting with a Summa employee was already scheduled, the employee concerned will contact you to reschedule or set up a skype meeting.
Orders and deliveries
We try to uphold scheduled delivery times of Summa equipment as much as possible. However, certain delays may occur due to delayed deliveries of machine parts from abroad. The Summa order entry department remains operational and is accessible through [email protected]. They will inform you about anything concerned orders and lead times of the ordered goods.
Service and installations
Machine installations, that were already scheduled, have been cancelled and will not take place until further notice. All customers, who already planned in an installation or service visit, will be informed personally by the Summa service department to re-schedule. The general Summa Service department will remain operational and accessible via +32 59 27 00 11 or [email protected]. However, we kindly ask you to be patient in case the reply time to your questions is a bit longer than usual.
Training sessions and demo’s
Internal and external training sessions and machine demonstrations have been cancelled until further notice. Companies who already scheduled a demo will be contacted by their sales representative to reschedule. Companies, who already registered for the April F Series and/or Roll cutter Series will be notified personally of the cancellation. As soon as the training sessions have been rescheduled to a later date (soonest in May), we will keep you informed.
Referring to a previous mailing the Fespa show, originally scheduled to take place from the 24th until the 27th of March, is postponed until further notice.
- Also, the Drupa show, which would have taken place in June 2020 in Düsseldorf, has been rescheduled and will now take place from the 20th of April to the 30th of April 2021.
- All other Summa participation to events, open-houses, and so on, are postponed until further notice.
Health takes precedence and generally we count on integrity, common sense and commitment to ensure that the operation of Summa, the supplies and the services for our customers continues to run smoothly.
Summa will inform you in due time in case of alterations to any of the above organization. We hope to count on your understanding. If you have any general questions, please contact [email protected].
